How does W.A.L. liposuction work?
In this article, you'll learn how W.A.L. liposuction works.
We work with Human Med, a German manufacturer of medical devices with its own design engineers, which is a leader in the field of water-assisted liposuction and fat grafting (W.A.L.).
W.A.L. Liposuction: A Technique Different from "Traditional" Liposuction
Unlike conventional liposuction procedures,water-assistedliposuction(W.A.L.)removes fat using a flat, fan-shaped water jet, requiring much less force and significantly reducing the risk of side effects. The surrounding connective tissue, nerves, and blood vessels remain virtually intact.
The flushing and suction of fat cells occur simultaneously. The doctor maintains direct control over both the body’s contours and the fluid introduced and removed throughout the procedure.
This virtually eliminates any negative effects of the remaining tumescent solution on the patient's body.
Bruising and damage to sensory nerves, which are located directly beneath the skin, are much less common when using a water jet. Much like exposed tree roots, the majority of the tissue strands beneath the skin that are important for skin firmness remain intact.
